Glossary of Terms

Team: The name of the basketball team being evaluated.

Rank: The team's overall ranking based on their power ratings.

W (Wins): The total number of games the team has won during the current season.

L (Losses): The total number of games the team has lost during the current season.

T (Ties): The total number of games the team has tied (if applicable).

Rating: The team’s power rating, which quantifies their overall strength based on proprietary calculations.

SoS (Strength of Schedule): A metric indicating the level of difficulty of the opponents the team has faced so far.

SSF (Schedule Strength For): A measure of the difficulty of the team’s upcoming opponents.

Conference: The conference to which the team belongs (e.g., Eastern, Western).

Division: The division within the conference to which the team belongs (e.g., Atlantic, Central).

CRnk (Conference Rank): The team's rank relative to other teams in their conference.

DRnk (Division Rank): The team's rank relative to other teams in their division.

Updated: The most recent date when the power ratings and rankings were last updated.

Previous: The team's power rating from the previous evaluation period, providing a comparison point.

↑/↓: Indicators showing whether the team’s rating has improved (↑) or declined (↓) compared to the previous update.

Note: These power ratings and rankings are designed to provide an objective measure of team performance, updated regularly to reflect changes in strength and schedule.
